Westlaw Australia Tip - How to search within a chapter of a secondary source

Last Published: February 26, 2020

Did you know that a keyword search can be limited to a single or multiple chapters of a secondary source? This helps to reduce the number of results retrieved.

  1. Using the Global Search Bar on the Westlaw Australia homepage, type in the Secondary Source's title.

  2. Select the resource you wish to view, i.e., Robson’s Annotated Corporations Legislation.

  1. Click on the plus symbol (+) to expand the table of contents.

  1. Tick the boxes next to the chapters you wish to search.

  2. Type your search terms in the Global Search Bar, e.g., “material affect”, and click search.

  1. The results page shows results from the chapters you selected.
