Westlaw Australia Tip - How to filter Citing References to see which cases followed/applied the original case

Learn how to filter a case's Citing References using Microsoft Excel.

  1. In the Citing References tab, filter the Content Types by Cases
  2. From the document delivery icon on the top-right, choose Download
  3. Click List of Items
  4. Choose the Microsoft Excel (CSV) file format
  5. Change the Number of items to All
  6. Click Download

In Excel, apply a filter to your table by clicking the Home tab, choosing Sort & Filter, and clicking Filter.

  1. In the Treatment column, click the filter arrow
  2. Use the checkboxes to choose the Treatments you want to view
  3. Click OK to filter the cases
