The Practical Law Australia Advisory Board held its final board meeting for 2016 at Thomson Reuters Pyrmont office last week.

The meeting was chaired by Peter Butler OAM RFD (Herbert Smith Freehills) and Thomson Reuters representatives joined board members the Hon Reginald Barrett (NSW Supreme Court) and Rachel Launders (General Counsel, Nine Entertainment).

The Practical Law Australia team presented on a round-up of enhancements made in 2016. Highlights included newly released topic areas such as National Employment Standards, Practice and Procedure in the FWC and Redundancy in Employment and Re-organisations and Share Capital in Corporate Transactions and Company Law.

The team also briefed the Advisory Board on new content planned for release in 2017 including expanded coverage in our existing practice areas, and the release of brand-new modules on Dispute Resolution and Commercial law.

The Advisory Board advised on the particular challenges currently facing law firms and in house counsel, and considered how Practical Law can help practitioners in their day-to-day work.
