Planning Law in Australia Enhancement

Following the major restructure of the service with separate volumes for "Commentary", "Cases" and the "Related Legislation", we are now introducing a new author for the Heritage (Tasmania) chapter publishing soon.

Jessica Feehely is the Principal Lawyer at the Environmental Defenders Office in Tasmania.  This Heritage chapter will now include commentary on the Aboriginal Relics Act 1975 as well as encompassing Resource Management and the Planning System, Management of Historic Sites and the Tasmanian Heritage Register.

At present the Heritage Act is currently under review. The revised legislation is expected to improve  (1)  the consistency of management of Heritage places at State and local level and  (2) the integration with the Resource Management and Planning System.
