The highlight for the TLA team this month was meeting with The Laws of Australia's Editor in Chief, The Hon. Michael Kirby AC CMG. Michael Kirby plays an invaluable role on The Laws of Australia, advising on the prioritisation of publishing and the direction of legal developments generally.

As a team we worked through a busy agenda of reviewing content and planning for new developments. We were able to identify commissioning priorities and plan for future updates in 2012. The meeting was productive and thorough. It is these meetings, and in particular Michael Kirby's guidance, that have helped us achieve the considerable currency enhancements delivered over recent years.

We are greatly indebted to Michael Kirby for his leadership and his active role in steering The Laws of Australia's development.
