New Anti-bullying topic available now from Practical Law Australia Employment
We are pleased to introduce a new Anti-bullying topic to Practical Law Australia’s Employment practice area.
This is a new and still largely untested area of federal workplace legislation. It has been of particular interest to employers due to the increasing number of claims being made and the creative use of anti-bullying claims, for example in the context of industrial action.
Employers’ reputations are at stake in anti-bullying proceedings as they may be named in any published reason given by the Fair Work Commission. The legislation is an acknowledgement that bullying can have serious and long lasting implications for employees and the culture of a workplace.
Practical Law’s anti-bullying topic provides up to date information on developments in this area of law and includes:
- An overview of the anti-bullying legislation;
- Practical tips on making and responding to a bullying application;
- Step-by-step checklists to guide either employers or employees through bullying complaints and the Fair Work Commission process.
