Westlaw Australia Tip - Benefits of Reading Mode

Last Published: February 20, 2020

Turning on Reading Mode for Commentaries and Laws of Australia allows for continuous scrolling through a publication. Reading Mode synchronises the Table of Contents on the left side of the screen and provides checkboxes for downloading, printing, or emailing content.

To activate reading mode begin by browsing or searching for a commentary service.

  1. Type in the required commentary and select the title from the Suggestion's drop-down list, e.g., Australia Succession Law.
  1. Click the plus symbol (+) to drill down to a chapter or heading you wish to view, e.g., Estate Planning > Introduction > General Introduction.

  2. Tick the box next to the title.

  3. Select reading mode.

  1. Reading mode allows easy seamless scrolling through the publication while synchronising with the Table of Contents on the left-hand side.

  2. Check boxes in the Table of Contents allow for selected downloading, printing, or emailing
