Australian Law of Contract: Appointment of esteemed editor announced

The new editor for Australian Law of Contract is the highly esteemed Dr Elisabeth Peden SC.

Dr Peden has written extensively on contract and commercial law. She is the author of more than 12 books and approximately 50 articles in international journals. These include TR’s Commercial Law: Commentary & Materials, 4th ed., Uniform Evidence Law: Commentary and Materials, 5th ed., Strata Law in New South Wales, Joske’s Law and Procedure at Meetings in Australia, 12th ed., and Commercial Issues in Contract Law: Papers from the Commercial Law Quarterly 20th Anniversary Conference (University of Sydney: Ross Parsons Centre of Commercial, Corporate and Taxation Law).

Elisabeth is an acknowledged expert in Contract law throughout the common law world and her work has been cited by courts in Australia and internationally.

Elisabeth has reviewed and updated the entire work. The work in turn provides a detailed analysis of the law of contract for Australian practitioners. Its extensive coverage includes legal issues impacting on the formation of the contract and its terms, vitiating factors, public policy, performance and discharge through to remedies for breach.
