Thomson Reuters support for National Reconciliation Week – Sorry Day 2022
In the spirit of reconciliation, Thomson Reuters acknowledges the Traditional Owners of Country across Australia and pays our respects to their Elders, past and present.
Raising awareness of First Nations challenges is a core element of the work of the Thomson Reuters Indigenous Peoples Network. Established in 2021 our vision is to:
- Help foster a diverse and inclusive work culture at Thomson Reuters.
- Deliver a focus on expanding cultural awareness, education and outreach for Indigenous peoples across the global communities in which we live and work.
- Commit to increasing opportunities for professional development for Indigenous peoples and sharing our experiences, with the support of our allies.
The ANZ Chapter began its activities in September 2021 with a focus on Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori (Māori Language Week). We are committed to building our reconciliation journey over the coming 12 months and further details on our approach will be shared in coming communications.

At Thomson Reuters, the work of the Indigenous Peoples Network is to support this respectful engagement with First Peoples across our region. Sorry Day and the coming National Reconciliation Week provides an opportunity to deliver on this focus of cultural awareness and education within an Australian context.
