Practical Law Australia Tip - Favourites and Folders
Practical Law Australia offers a number of ways to quickly navigate back to content that you use frequently. Two of these are Favourites and Folders, which appear in the top right of the homepage after you have signed in using your OnePass.
How to use Favourites and Folders
Favourites are used to save Practice Area pages (eg Employment, Company Law) or Topic pages (eg General Protections, Contract Law) that you use frequently. You can add a page to your Favourites by clicking on the star icon on the left of the page title.
Folders are used to save individual Practice Notes, Standard Documents, Checklists or Toolkits that you want to refer back to at a later date. When you save a Practice Note or Standard Document to your Folders on Practical Law, it will continue to be updated by our team of legal writers whenever there is a change in the law.
By using Folders, rather than saving a document offline on your computer, you can be completely confident that your precedent is up to date and reflects best practice. If you save a document offline, it becomes a point-in-time document as of when you downloaded it.
To save a document to your Folders, click the Folder icon in the delivery options on the right hand side of the screen.
You can access the documents saved in your Folders on the go, simply by logging in to Practical Law Australia with your OnePass details.
