Mandatory button battery safety standards to apply from 22 June 2022
The transition period is about to end for the button battery safety standards introduced by the Australian Government on 22 December 2020. Compliance will be mandatory for manufacturers and suppliers of button and coin batteries (and products containing these batteries) that are supplied to consumers from 22 June 2022.
