After securing a deal in the Senate, the federal Government has passed the largest suite of reforms to the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) (FW Act) since it was first enacted through the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Secure Jobs, Better Pay) Bill 2022 (Cth) (Secure Jobs Better Pay Bill 2022). The bill passed both Houses of Parliament on 2 December 2022 and now awaits its Royal Assent.

Practical Law will be providing further guidance on the significant changes implemented by the bill to the FW Act, and other federal legislation, in due course.
