Softdocs update: Vic General and SA Courts suites
Two Softdocs suites, Vic General and SA Courts, were updated on 6 November.
Vic General
Existing precedents have been amended as well as new ones added to the suite.
• References to the client’s right to seek independent legal advice have been removed from:
- Costs Agreement
- Disclosure Statement
• New precedents under Rule 11 of the Legal Profession Uniform Legal Practice (Solicitors) Rules 2015 (applied as a law in Victoria by the Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2014):
- Australian Legal Practitioner's Certificate 1
- Australian Legal Practitioner's Certificate 1
- Australian Legal Practitioner's Certificate 2
- Certificate by Translator/Interpreter
- Form of Acknowledgement given by Borrower or Surety
SA Courts
This update incorporates:
• Provision to include Third Party solicitor details (when required) in all Magistrates Court forms
• Latest version of "Form 17 Notice to Accompany Claim or Summons": now renamed to "Multilingual Notice", with option for languages other than English
