Three Softdocs suites, Federal Court Precedents, Fair Work Australia and NSW Land & Environment Court were updated since 6 April.

Federal Court Precedents

With effect from 1 April 2016, the Federal Court (Bankruptcy) Rules 2016 will replace the current Federal Court (Bankruptcy) Rules 2005. Similarly, the Federal Circuit Court (Bankruptcy) Rules 2016 will replace the current Federal Circuit Court (Bankruptcy) Rules 2006. The replacement Rules for each Court have been developed, in consultation with the Office of Parliamentary Counsel, with significant input from Judges and Registrars, as harmonised rules for proceedings in both Courts in bankruptcy. The Federal Court’s new Bankruptcy Rules incorporate the harmonised rules for proceedings brought before the Federal Court under the Cross-Border Insolvency Act as Part 14. This update includes the new approved forms for use in bankruptcy proceedings.

NSW Land & Environment Court

All necessary changes set out under the practice note Approval of Forms under s 77A(1) of the Land and Environment Court Act 1979 have been made, including the addition of the following new forms:

LEC FORM009 Statement of Cross-Claim (classes 5, 6 and 7)

LEC FORM010 Cross-Summons (classes 5, 6 and 7)

Provisions for Cross-claims have also been added to all relevant UCPR prescribed forms.

As a result of the addition of cross-claims, the following new shell letters and faxes have been also added:
