Westlaw AU Tip - How to find cases that consider a piece of legislation
This tip shows how to search for references to legislation in cases on Westlaw AU.
Step 1: Log into Westlaw AU.
Step 2: Click Cases from the list of Search Templates to display the Cases Advanced Search.
Step 3: Type in the Act or Regulation name into the Legislation Cited (Title) box e.g. Evidence Act 1995.
Step 4: Type in the Provision number into the Legislation Cited (Provision) box e.g. 79(1).
Step 5: Click Search.
This will find cases that consider that piece of legislation.
