It is with deep regret we inform our subscribers of the passing of our valued author, Colin MacLeman.

Colin battled cancer for many years and, despite his bravery and determination, was finally overcome and sadly passed away in April 2014.

Colin was involved in all facets of construction and project management over a period of 40 years and contributed a great deal to the construction industry and building education by way of the Australian Institute of Building. Many students benefited from his experience and knowledge.

Colin’s contributions to Thomson Reuters, including the many years he worked on the Building Service and particularly the Building Code of Australia, were invaluable and he will be truly missed. His memory will live on in the commentaries he provided.

Colin’s friends and family fondly remember him as belonging to a rare breed of scholar, practitioner and gentleman.
