New authors on Foreign Investment in Australia
We are very excited to welcome two new authors to Foreign Investment in Australia; Marcus Clark and Andrew Wong. Marcus and Andrew will be replacing Alan Millhouse, the driving force behind the development of this publication and one of its authors for over 20 years. Ben Zillmann remains the author responsible for native title commentary.
Marcus Clark is a Sydney-based partner of Allens, specialising in agribusiness, mergers and acquisitions and foreign investment clearances. He has practiced law with Allens in Australia, Singapore and Thailand, and with Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in Hong Kong and New York. Marcus is admitted to practice in New York and in New South Wales where he is also a public notary. Marcus is a non-executive director of Viscopy, the Australian and New Zealand copyright collection agency for visual artists.
Andrew Wong is a Sydney-based managing associate of Allens, specialising in public mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets and foreign investment clearances. Andrew is the author of the Allens handbook to takeovers in Australia.
Ben Zillmann is a Brisbane-based partner of Allens, specialising in energy, resources and native title fields. He has many years of experience in dealing with the full spectrum of issues that arise in respect of energy and resources projects and has advised numerous clients on the establishment of new projects, on the disposal and acquisition of major projects, and on the establishment of joint venture arrangements.
The original co-authors were Alan Millhouse, a former partner and current consultant of Allens and an Adjunct Professor at The University of Queensland; Professor Bryan Horrigan, a former consultant of Allens and now Dean of the Faculty of Law at Monash University; and Professor William (Bill) Duncan, a former consultant of Allens and now Professor, Faculty of Law at Queensland University of Technology.
Marcus and Andrew are undertaking a progressive review of this service (beginning with an update already published in March), so stay tuned!
