New Strata & Community Title Section coming soon to Property Law Review

Thomson Reuters is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Kleinschmidt as a brand new Strata & Community Title Section Editor for Property Law Review. As part of an ongoing enhancement project, we are commissioning a range of new sections to bring subscribers property law insights from academics and practitioners around Australia and internationally.

MichaelKleinschmidtMichael has more than 14 years’ experience in commercial property law including property acquisitions, developments, commercial and retail leasing. As a specialist in strata law, Michael advises clients on management rights, body corporate work, strata development and structuring, with his work on fiduciary obligations of developers featured in the Australian Property Law Journal.

Michael was the inaugural Chairman of the Strata Communities Australia (Queensland) Legislative Committee from 2009 to 2012 and continues as a member of the Committee. Under Michael’s leadership, the Committee made submissions to Government in relation to far-reaching reform including adjustment of lot entitlements, the specified two-lot module and the Land Sales Act.

Michael is a member of the legal panel of the Australian Resident Accommodation Managers’ Association Inc. which also works to achieve legislative reform in the management rights sector. In 2011 Michael was made a fellow of the Australian College of Community Association Lawyers, the professional college for lawyers practicing within the area of strata title or community management law in Australia.

We are delighted to have Michael join the editorial team and are confident subscribers will benefit greatly from his insights.
