We have adjusted and enhanced the algorithms used by Westlaw AU’s Search Engine to order results by relevance. Additional weighting is now given to documents based on a complex set of

content specific rules.

At a high level, weighting is now applied using a combination of rules relating to where, how often and in what proximity the search terms are found.

This means the relevance of results is improved, finding more relevant content quicker and more efficiently.
