The Laws of Australia currency enhancement is underway

The Laws of Australia currency enhancement is underway, with a 50% increase in the number of subtitles published each year.

September saw the publication of new subtitle 21.11 "Privacy". This subtitle focuses on the protection of individuals' personal information both at common law and under statutory regimes. It covers all aspects of privacy law including commercial uses of information, identity theft, privacy enforcement, exemptions to privacy protection, surveillance devices, unauthorised disclosure of Commonwealth information and computer-related offences. This subtitle builds on content originally part of 21.4 "Civil and Political Rights".

The October update to The Laws of Australia online will include major subtitles on documentary evidence, unfair dealing (improper business practices and remedies) and more.
