Planning Law in Australia - New Author
We are happy to advise that we are introducing a new author to the Planning Law in Australia service.
Simon Cooper is Chairman of the Resource Management and Planning Appeal Tribunal Tasmania. The tribunal was established by the Resource Management and Planning Appeal Tribunal Act 1993, which is one of several pieces of legislation passed in the early 1990s including the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993, the Environmental Management and Pollution Control Act 1994, the Historic Cultural Heritage Act 1995 as well as legislation regulating such diverse topics as fish farming and endangered species.
Collectively the legislation establishes the Resource Management and Planning System of Tasmania. The Tribunal has jurisdiction over a large range of matters arising from all this legislation. Mr Cooper will be authoring Judicial Systems in Tasmania.
