Examined – the citing or cited case contains an extended discussion of the cited case, usually more than one printed page of text. |

Discussed – the citing or cited case contains a substantial discussion, usually more than a paragraph but less than one printed page. |

Cited – the citing or cited case, contains some discussion, usually up to one paragraph. |

Mentioned – the citing or cited case contains a simple reference to another case, usually just its case name and law report or medium neutral citation. |
